La Volpe

UNBELIEVABLE, DELICIOUS ITALIAN

No wonder it was voted Best Restaurant in The AntiHamptons in 2008. This place is fantastic!

They offer seasonal dishes like Bresaola, (thinly sliced air cured beef, on a bed of arugula,
with shaved parmigiano and white truffle oil) for an antipasti. Gnocchi Ripieni (a potato gnocchi filled with asparagus, in a mascarpone cheese cream sauce, with an asparagus and roasted pepper puree) for a paste and Chilean Sea Bass Alla Volpe (a filet of chilean sea bass, sauteed with zucchini, cherry tomatoes and red onions, with a light curry cream sauce) for the secondi. Each dish is mouth watering. The dolci OH MY GOODNESS! Now, they have the usual Italian desserts; canoli, tiramisu, but the Molten Lava Chocolate Soufflé (moist dark lava cake, enrobed with warm chocolate, filled with a warm chocolate truffle and topped with vanilla ice cream) is... is... I am speechless, you'll just have to experience it for yourself.

If that wasn't enough, they are renowned for their brick oven pizza. It is so authentic, it reminds me of a special little place in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, when Williamsburg was still Italian. The wine list is phenomenal, and the ambience is just perfect.

Go now, before it is booked every night!s
